The SOT LA MER project is now starting and we wish you a plesant journey with us.

However, to make sure our mutual commitments are clear, please have a look at the rules.

How to participate ?

  3. Entries of “touristy nature”, including individual and group self-portraits will not be accepted.
  4. Photos and videos must preferably have been shot while travelling or at least reflect your individual world perception.
  5. While anyone is free to enter as many documents as they wish (please be reasonable), multiple entries must be submitted under one unique identity.
  6. With each entry you must duly provide your name, your surname, your e-mail, your country and the year your entry was produced. You may also wish to add your own commentary explaining your work.
  7. If your work has been selected to be published online, you will receive an e-mail stating as much and your name will be added to the “travellers list”. As a selected participant, you will have no financial obligation toward the project. The SOT LA MER team carries out the selection of all or part of the works published online and reserves the right to improve the selected works’ presentation without distorting its original features.
  8. When submitting your work to the SOT LA MER / Sak Fini Soté Project, you are thereby handing over all copyrights on the audiovisual and textual works and you agree that your work may be used for artistic and non-profit purposes within the realm of a collective exhibition which may lead to further publications. As a result, when selected to participate in the project, you will receive no payment, fee, or royalty. You remain, however, free to use your submitted work for lucrative or personal purposes. You also agree that profits from these publications will be donated to Amnesty International or to another humanitarian association.
  9. If your work has been selected, you will have seven days after receiving your acceptance e-mail to withdraw your entry from the project. To cancel your participation from the project, you will need to inform our team via e-mail -no explanation necessary. After the seven-days deadline, your participation to the exhibition and/or the collective publication will be established.
