Life on board...

Everyone perceives the world on his or her own way. But how do we perceive it collectively? Since travelling is not following traces but perceiving, we invite all the « perceivers »to join the list of the travellers. The project consists gathering different materials such as photos, videos, sounds, and texts in order to organise an international exhibition en 2009, called THE EARTH IN FRONT OF US.

Our artistic processes bet on a free and democratic participation, to start new exchanges. There is no need to be a photographer to take pictures of the world since anyone can freely express his or her own vision. That point of view stands that all the looks at the world are equal, even though any look is different from another one.

It is impossible to deal with any received document. We will have to select the documents. That will be of couse driven by a certain subjectivity. Even millions of pictures could never frame the reality of the world. What essentially matters is thinking about the multiple realities of the world, rather than quantity or the aesthetic look.

The documents will be selected according through a global vision, with no aesthetic or moral censorship. Le but n’est pas d’obtenir un consensus mais de The aim is to represent the divesity of points of view. The only criteria will be terchnical and intellectual - what is the message through the document.

Sending photographs, videos, sound recordings or writing in the diary will allow you to become members of the SOT LA MER project. It will be possible to follow the evolution of the project or to participate to its achievement thanks to our interactivity.
